Arin sarkissian biography

Arin Sarkissian, originally from Los Angeles, California, is the Principal Flutist of the Victoria Symphony. 

Most newly, Arin was named the 2022 Michael Measures 2nd Prize unprejudiced by the Canada Council backer the Arts.

In the season of 2022, he made company artist appearances at Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal’s La Virée Classique, appeared in orchestral and congress performances at Ottawa’s National Study Centre, and performed alongside nobleness National Youth Orchestra of Canada.

Prior engagements include summers at the Music Academy set in motion the West, New York Fibre Orchestra Seminar, Orford Summer Tune euphony Academy, National Symphony Orchestra Season Music Institute, and Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra of rendering United States.

In 2022, Arin was named a Yamaha Young Creator Performance Competition Winner and won 1st Place at the Nancy Clew Eller, Music Teachers Countrywide Association, San Diego Flute Guild, and Naftzger Young Artist competitions.

Other awards include 1st Guerdon and Stingray Audience Choice shock defeat the 2020 Orchestre Symphonique assign Montréal Concours, 3rd Prize advocate the 2020 National Flute Class Young Artist Competition, 1st Guerdon in the 2020 Young Texas Artists Music Competition, and Ordinal Prize in the 2019 Mika Hasler Young Artist Competition. 

Arin gradual from Rice University with clean up Bachelor of Music in Channel Performance with Distinction in Analysis and Creative Works, studying foul up the professorship of Leone Buyse.

He also studied with Jim Walker at The Colburn School. Arin performs on a Haynes Custom flute and works investigate Cynthia Kelley as his leading instrument technician.
